Midwest Moonlight Scarf (or Storm Water Scarf)

I've just completed the Midwest Moonlight Scarf, which, by the way, is the same pattern as the Fleece Artist Storm Water Scarf. This was done in seasilk and looks and feels (and smells) fantastic! A few more pics can be found on my blog.

Here and There Braid

Color on Color Scarf

It is exciting to see this scarf coming together. But it's been a wrist killer, so progress has been slow. Here it is so far......

Finished Zig Zag

So, here we have the finished product. Looks kind of Scandinavian to me. As you can see, I decided to include the pom poms - for 2 reasons: 1. more fun for a teenager; 2. because I used acrylic yarn, I wouldn't be able to block the end peaks of the scarf effectively - the weight of pom poms will help keep the peaks more defined.
The colours on the photo still did not come out that great, sorry.

Glad to join

Hi, my name is Margaret. I am glad to join this KAL and I plan to make at least 2 projects from "Scarf Style".
My first is the Zig Zag scarf - a Christmas gift for my teenage niece, done in her favourite colours. This scarf knits up very fast, so I already finished it, but it needs to be washed and photographed. Today, I attach work-in progress photos.
Sorry, the colours did not come out that great. In real life they are much more deep/rich and saturated, eg. Admiral (navy) is more blue than in the picture, and Raisin has more plummy-red in it.
Yarn used: Bernat Satin - makes for a nice, somewhat weighty scarf, which won't come easily undone in the wind if you just wrap it loosely around your neck.
I also made a matching hat. Photos to follow in the next few days.

Next project: Balloon scarf.

Just discovered this KAl. Thanks for letting me join. Can't wait to read all the posts and view everyone's beautiful projects. Not sure what my first one will be yet. I'll read the posts and view the pics for my inspiration. I love to knit lace so that will probably enter into my decision. Again, thanks for letting me joing.

Floral Trellis

I did this in same chenille, but different colorway. There is a mistake in the scarf (crocheted) not the roses, so be sure and get the changes at interweave site. It was fast and easy to make. The roses are so pretty knitted up!

Lady Eleanor

She is finally finished. Started her back in June. Used 6 skeins of Noro Silk garden #65 and 2 skeins of #205. Also used moonlight mohair for the fringe. She is a bit over 5 feet (unblocked). More pictures on my blog .

Interlocking balloons

I used about 4 or 5 balls of: Zara 100% merino extra fine in a beautiful dark gray/black that unfortunately does not photograph well. This was made as a gift for my husband who is an artist-blacksmith, so using a dark color was important.

ZigZag Stripes or Chevron Scarf

Thanks to the help of a friend with a scanner, I am finally able to contribute on a completed piece here!

I used left over baby blanket yarn and made the color changes randomly. Sorry, I no longer have the yarn information. I thought it needed a spot of color and, with my husband's help, found the perfect shade of yellow that would pop.

I'm not a fan of the bobbles at the end, though. I'd leave them off next time.
