Turtleneck Shrug Question

I'm working on the Turtleneck Shrug, and have a quick question. On the sleeves, which way should I slip the stitches for the selvedge, knitwise or purlwise? Thanks for your help! I'm loving everyone's beautiful pictures!

I slipped them knitwise, although I have to say I didn't follow the instructions exactly because I found that the rib didn't lie properly; I sort of fudged the decreases so that it looked right rather than actually being right. In the end, I suspect it doesn't make a great deal of difference as it is stretched once it's on. It's a fun knit.
