Here and Now Cables scarf

I finally got a good photo of this scarf! I used Reynolds Odyssey; I chose gray instead of the green used in the book. I would knit this again; it was a lot of fun.

Please excuse Elmo's feet in the background!

Very nice! The grey looks purple in that light.

Hey this is soooo beautiful! Give us some of the details. Yarn, needles, how long did it take. I love it!

This picture makes me want to jump up and down and cheer!!! It's so pretty -- congratulations! This is another one of the patterns that made it impossible for me not to buy this book, but all that cabling... did you find this a fairly manageable cabled pattern? And yes... how long did it take?
    Well done. Enjoy wearing!

Beautiful scarf! The picture in the book didn't inspire me but yours does.

thank you for your compliments. Sorry, I uploaded the picture I took without the flash. The yarn truly is gray.

I used Reynolds Odyssey, size 8 needles. I know I used one extra ball of yarn than the pattern called for because I wanted the scarf to be long.

I picked the project up off and on over a three-month period. I love cables so I didn't find them too unmanageable.

I did make the scarf slightly longer than the book had called for because I like long scarves.

And there you have it! Now if one of you can teach me entrelac ... I'm itching to do Lady Eleanor!!!

Funny you should mention Entrelac. I really wanted to do Lady E, so I took a class at my LSP. What really made me understand how this technique worked was a pattern a gentleman wrote that I saw on knitty.com Here is the link.

Check it out; he makes it easy. You can see my Lady E. in the February section. Not a great photo though. Good luck!
